Good Game League 2019 is one of three CS:GO events that are going to be played July 13-14th. Thanks to its decent prize pool (€100,000 EUR), it attracted some very good teams such as G2, Virtus.pro, HellRaisers and so on.
Format and technical information
As said, Good Game League 2019 is going to be played from July 13th to July 14th. It will take the place in Poznan, Poland at Stadion Miejski w Poznaniu. Teams will split €100,000 EUR among themselves, and the winner of the event will get half of the prize money. The rest of the prize money is going to be distributed in the following way:
- 2nd place: € 20,000
- 3rd-4th place: € 8,000
- 5th-6th place: € 4,000
- 7th-8th place: € 3,000
As you can see, there are going to be eight teams competing in two GSL groups. The initial and winners matches are Best-of-1 and all remaining matches are Best-of-3. The best two teams from each group advance further to Semi-finals. At the moment, we still don’t have any information about broadcast, but it looks like there is not going to be any Twitch channel in English.
The teams that are going to take part in this event are G2 Esports, GamerLegion, HellRaisers, Virtus.pro, Winstrike Team, Tricked Esports, Aristocracy, and Epsilon Esports.
Undoubtedly, the clear favorites for clinching this title are G2 Esports. The Frenchmen led by shox and kennyS surprised everyone at ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals where they had a chance to play in front of the French crowd. They reached the Grand Final but failed to make the last step to the title as Team Liquid defeated them. In addition to that, G2 Esports had some very decent results at these kinds of events where there are no best teams. They played Semi-finals at Charleroi Esports and DreamHack Open Tours, as well as Quarter-finals of DH Masters Dallas.
Nevertheless, there are many other teams that are capable of performing at a high level as well. All these teams except Epsilon Esports had at least one good result this year. Therefore, we are going to see a big battle in Poznan at Good Game League 2019.
