The Game Awards 2018: nominations, winners and new trailers

God of War is the winner in “The Best Game of the Year”
nomination category.

The annual Awards of the Game Awards finally took place in 2018, during which the best games of the that year were named.

In the nomination of “The Best Game of the Year”, the winner was an exclusive for the PlayStation 4 God of War.

During the ceremony some announcements were also made:

Nintendo introduced the third part of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance: The Black Order, it will be released only on Nintendo Switch.

In 2019, an improved version of the famous game The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe will be released. It will also be available on consoles.

Ubisoft will be pleased with Far Cry: New Dawn – a spin-off of Far Cry 5 17 years after a nuclear explosion. The game will be available on February 15 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

From the creators of Fallout, Tim Kane and Leonard Boyarsky announced The Outer Worlds, which will appear in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Also, NetherRealms showed the trailer for Mortal Kombat 11. The release date is April 23, 2019.

It was also announced that RAGE 2 from Avalanche Studios, together with id Software, will be released on May 14, 2019.

Activision announced Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. The game is a full remaster racing game from PS1. Competing with friends will be possible both offline and online.

During the ceremony, Epic Games launched their Store. According to the authors, “every two weeks one game will become free” – in 2019, 28 games will be distributed.

Earlier, Blizzard introduced Warcraft 3: Reforged – an updated version of the revolutionary strategy of Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos.
