What is PAX?

PAX is a game exhibition, which has been around since 2004. Founded by the creators of the comic book Penny Arcade, Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, and is divided into several events – PAX West, PAX East, PAX South, PAX Dev, PAX Australia, which are held throughout the year in different cities and even continents.

At the Penny Arcade Expo players are waiting for new announcements, concerts, exhibitions from indie developers and major publishers, forums dedicated to the gaming industry, areas for game demonstration, as well as gaming tournaments led by the traditional “Omegaton” with valuable prizes.

The next annual Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) exhibition dedicated to computer and video games will be held in Seattle (USA) at the Washington State Trade & Convention Center on August 31 – September 3
Penny Arcade Expo, as we recall, has been held since 2004, and every year the number of visitors to the exhibition almost doubled. In 2006, the audience was about 37 thousand people, and last year it was visited by almost 60 thousand gamers. Last year’s Penny Arcade Expo was sponsored by many well-known companies, including Microsoft, Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and others.
Visitors to the Penny Arcade Expo, as a rule, have the opportunity to take part in numerous gaming tournaments, to visit the exhibition stands of well-known companies, to participate in various competitions and listen to speeches from representatives of the gaming business. The event often hosts music concerts as well.
PAX entrance tickets can be ordered now through the official website of the exhibition. A ticket for all three days will cost you around $ 70. Visitors who bought pre-order tickets will be able to participate in the traditional PAX Omegathon competition, the winners of which will be able to go to the world’s largest gaming exhibition: the Tokyo Game Show.
