Hello to my heroic team,

On Sunday, November 25th, 2012 from 1PM to 5PM I will be running MYRE3-1 Children of the Void for levels 3-6 - Part II. This game will take place at the usual spot, Board Game Warriors!

A star has fallen and the rush is on! While the criminals of Waterdeep race to be the first to claim the mysterious meteorite, dark works are afoot at the crash site on the island of Devil’s Elbow. Things not of this world claw their way forth from skymetal prisons, hungry for new prey and ready to spread their alien seed across an unsuspecting world. Can the PCs put an end to a terror that comes from beyond the night sky and the diabolical magic that summoned it forth? A Living Forgotten Realms adventure set in the Sea of Swords for characters of the Heroic tier (levels 3-6). Part II

Hello to everyone who played yesterday, and thanks for a great game.

Rewards for the adventure: MYRE 3-1 (x2)

XP: 1700 XP
Gold : 450 GP

Choose one of the following

• Treasure X (Choose an Item): The character finds a Common magic item (of the character’s level +2 or less) or an Uncommon magic item (of the character’s level or less) of the player's choice. The item must come from a player resource (as defined in the LFR Campaign Guide).
The character must have an available found- item slot, and only permanent magic items may be chosen with this option (no consumables, ammunition, etc.)

choose one (if you chose Treasure X) or two of the following (if you did not take Treasure X)

• Treasure Y (Consumable plus Gold): The character finds a potion of healing plus additional gold. The player should write the consumable gained on their Adventure Log. Consumable items obtained in this fashion do not take up found-item slots.
AL 2: AL 6: potion of healing plus 100 gp

• Treasure Z (More Gold): The character finds or is given coin, gems, jewelry, art objects, ritual components, or other non-magical valuables (in addition to his or her Base Gold).
AL 6: 150 gp

Story Awards

MYRE02: You defeated the drow infiltrators and discovered amongst their treasure a journal. In the journal Shindiira (the drow leader) is excited about being accepted into Sept of Ill'Ghact and about the return of House Oblodra. A drow named Nolveniss is mentioned several times as well; Shindiira is quite explicit in the ways she plans to use him as her consort once she returns to him in Iliyanbruen with a large amount of sky metal and akatas to show him her power. The last dozen entries display a dramatic shift in tone, becoming a more scientific list of observations of the strange meteorological effects that preceded the falling star, the impact itself, and developments afterward. The journal mentions several times an ominously title event or object called an "Armageddon Echo".

MYRE03: You have retrieved enough sky metal for one of the following:
1. Make one set of metal armour
2. Make one metal shield
3. Make one melee weapon normally made out of metal
4. Sell it for 300 GP to one of the three listed in MYRE04

Sky metal has the following properties
1. For Armour, it weights half as much as regular steel (Armour check penalties are reduced by one and movement penalties are reduced by one)
2. For weapons, they gain the property high-crit, and inflict +1 point of extra damage per enhancement bonus to undead, constructs, and aberrations

MYRE04: You presented (gift) some sky metal to none or one of the following (presenting sky metal gains a favour for future use):
1. The Xanathar
2. The Black Staff
3. The Dwarves of the Gasforges

or none (sell to one of the above three for 150 GP)

If you do not present sky metal to the Xanathar, you gain his enmity rather than his favour. There is no enmity gained by not giving sky metal to the other two.
Vancouver Gaming Guild Forum will be closing for good as of August 31st/2017. So long and thanks for all the fish!
